The Liquid Hardware Lowdown - The Story Behind Our Magnetic Water Bottles

We started with a simple idea: What if somebody made a clean, BPA free insulated water bottle or coffee tumbler with a magnetic lid that didn’t flop, drop,  roll and you did not have to set you lid down on a sketchy dirty counter? And well, that somebody became us. Steve Kitto, the brains behind Liquid Hardware had plenty of reasons to stay hydrated. From skiing, hiking and biking in the Tetons, Steve had every reason to want a clean, simply-designed water bottle with a lid that sticks. So he designed one. A custom furniture maker, Steve used his design skills to put together a rough prototype that became the forerunner to the double-walled Sidewinder™, a vacuum insulated food grade stainless steel bottle with a magnetic lid that sticks. There were some obstacles to overcome (e.g. stainless steel, glass, alluminium and plastic aren't magnetic) but once the idea was stuck in his brain, it couldn’t come unstuck. The result is a beautifully designed, patented, high-quality bottle with a magnetic lid tether and a lifetime guarantee. What’s not to like?

At Liquid Hardware...we guarantee you'll Never Lose Your Lid™.

In addition to solving your water bottle, coffee mug, and container lid problems, we aim to reduce the number of disposable bottles tossed into landfills. Our Cyclical Flow philosophy promotes sustainability, as we strive to practice business in a way that supports our community and the planet.

Liquid Hardware® donates a percentage of profits to both environmental causes and to PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease) research. Steve's father and grandfather both had PKD. Steve made a promise to his father that a percentage of profits from Liquid Hardware would go towards PKD programs and most importantly research to find a cure to a disease that affects millions of people around the world.

Hydrate on!

Health, Happiness, and Hydration,

Steve
